Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRS)

Background and purpose of establishment

• ITRS (Industrial Technology Research Institute) was established in 1986 to develop human resources for industries and to support the collaboration between university and industries.
• The purpose of the ITRS, as the subject institute affiliated with an engineering college at Chungnam National University, is to maximize the research performance of the members and to play the leading role in the industrialization of advanced engineering by activating the research plan, coordination, management and administrative support.

Main Work

• Holding and managing academic lectures, research presentations and others.
• The academic support activities of the faculty (support for overseas business trips and seminars)
• The management of overhead costs and support projects for a discipline- centered research institute
• Other business consistent with the purpose of the research institute

2005.10.10	The change of the organization name as the research institute affiliated with Chungnam National University by the reorganization of Chungnam National University
2009.03.01	The small and medium business cooperation agency belonged to the Foundation of Research and Business by the reorganization of Chungnam National University
2009.03.17	The change of the organization name as the research institute affiliated with an engineering college at Chungnam National University by the reorganization of Chungnam National University
