INTRODUCTION
Department of Radio and Information Communications Engineering
The department is actively involved in the research program in collaboration with the associated industries and institutes.
Based on electromagnetic theory, the application of EM wave in various fields, such as, wireless, mobile, and satellite communications, radar and remote sensing, biological effects, EMI and EMC are taught and in research. Practical points of engineering also are emphasized to fit the students for industrial fields through the courses related to the design of passive, active microwave components and antenna.
Information communications engineering is a cutting edge technology area in next generation’s information and communication industry, combining computer related technologies to produce, process, and handle various types of information. The purpose of the program is to foster excellent talents who will lead next generation technologies to meet high demand for information and communication engineers.

After graduation, students can work in manufacturing companies, large-scaled companies (Samsung, LG Electronics), and a lot of small and mini-scaled venture companies. National and public research centers (Agency for Defense Development, KEPRI) and communication service companies (KT, SKT), also, offer career opportunities. Students who want to understand in-depth technologies can study further at graduate school.
