INTRODUCTION
The term ‘mechatronics’ is a coined word of ‘mechanics’ and ‘electronics.’ It is a relatively new technology where technology developed from electronics and IT engineering, such as computer-aided control and information processing technology, is applied to mechanics.
Mechatronics engineering is applied to a wide range of areas from intelligent robots to automobile, intelligent production systems, medical engineering, virtual reality simulators, humanoid robots, and even advanced aircraft.
The department offers comprehensive education covering both theory and practice to enable students to experience and acquire expert knowledge in computer-controlled analysis and design, and in-depth understanding of the features of mechanical and electronic systems.
